We’re Proud to Be Green

We like to think of ourselves as a forerunner in reducing potential health risks. For years now, we have used vegetable and soy based inks, low VOCs, and chemical-free processes. We’ve been steering our customers towards recycled paper or sustainable manufactured paper and water-based varnishes as well towards biodegradable alternatives to laminates.

We have been certified “green” by the Bay Area Green Business Program which certifies businesses that are in compliance with all environmental regulations and meet the standards for conserving resources, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste. We also have a Chain of Custody Certification from the Forest Stewardship Council which certifies that paper used in printed products come from sustainable sources.

Here are some of the things we do that earned us certification:

• We sort and recycle all waste.

• We use only non-toxic compounds.

• We use only vegetable based inks that are non-toxic and have negligible or zero Volatile Organic Compounds.

• We steer our clients towards recycled paper, and when not possible, we use only paper from sustainable sources.

• At every stage of the printing process, we use only equipment that produces the lowest possible waste. 

• Our printing plate creation process is 100% chemical free.

• We are mindful of and carefully monitor our energy usage.

• We constantly seek ways to do our part in protecting the environment.
